World Medicine Employees Ran to Support the “Tree Brotherhood” Project at the 42nd Istanbul Marathon

World Medicine employees took part in the 42nd Istanbul Marathon to fulfill their responsibility to nature and support the TEMA Foundation's “Tree Brotherhood” project for a more conscious generation and a greener future.

“Tree Brotherhood” is a nature education and afforestation project for children. For five years, the TEMA Foundation has been organizing charity runs during marathons to help more children get acquainted with soil and trees, raising funds to create memorial forests in their name. Through this project, thousands of saplings have been planted in the Tree Brotherhood Memorial Forests in Balıkesir, Çanakkale, and Edirne over the last five years.

The Istanbul Marathon has always been unique as the only event where runners can cross from one continent to another. This year, due to pandemic measures, the marathon was held virtually on November 7-8. Corporate teams running for the TEMA Foundation raised nearly 100,000 TL from 1,070 donors.

World Medicine's participation in this race marked a first for the company at a corporate level, taking steps for both children and nature.
