Champion Journey in Pharmaceutical Exports
World Medicine Named Pharmaceutical Export Champion for the Third Consecutive Year!
The 10th edition of the “Stars of Export Awards” organized by the Istanbul Chemicals and Chemical Products Exporters’ Association (İKMİB) was held this year. World Medicine, maintaining its leadership for the past two years, continued its success in 2024. Holding the title of "Top Pharmaceutical Exporter", the company has now claimed the top spot four times in the last five years. This success is further underscored by a 36-position climb in the 2024 ISO 500 list, ranking World Medicine at 342nd.
The "Stars of Export Awards", held annually by İKMİB to reward and support member companies' export achievements, found their winners for the 10th time. In the pharmaceutical export category, World Medicine maintained its leadership for a third consecutive year and was once again named “Pharmaceutical Export Champion”, marking its fourth overall championship.
Sohrab Mammadov, Vice Chairman of the Board of World Medicine, stated at the ceremony: “Guided by our export-oriented vision from Turkey to the world, we are now a brand present in over 65 countries. It is an honor to be part of an event that rewards our dedication. At World Medicine, we are committed to enhancing our growth strategy through bold moves in production and export. We are steadily progressing toward our goal of exporting Turkey’s pharmaceuticals to the world.”
Mammadov added: "Last year, we expressed our desire to once again become the pharmaceutical export champion in 2024, and we are proud to have achieved this goal. Our state-of-the-art production facilities allow us to increase our capacity day by day. Our investments are enabling us to reach our annual targets, and we have no doubt that 2025 will bring continued success."
“We Will Continue to Export Turkey’s Pharmaceuticals Through Our Investments”
Mammadov continued: "Throughout our journey, we have consistently followed a roadmap that contributes to the national economy. We have also witnessed how our investments have paved the way forward. With great pride, we see our goals turning into results. Strengthening our presence in the Asian market, we have begun construction of a new $30 million production facility in Uzbekistan. Additionally, in 2022, we commissioned a supplementary production facility with an investment of approximately $37.5 million. We are also planning upgrades for our facility in Algeria, aiming to enhance its technological infrastructure by the end of 2025."
He concluded by saying: “With the strength of being the export leader in our sector, we will continue to pursue our ambitious goals with determination.”
