Prizes were awarded for Export Stars in the event held by İKMİB to recognize and encourage the export success of member companies in the chemicals industry. World Medicine was awarded the grand prize in pharmaceutical exports in the İKMİB Prizes Export Stars 2020, which was organized for the sixth time this year.
Receiving the prize from the Deputy Minister of Trade, Rıza Tuna Turagay, the Vice Board Chairman of World Medicine, Sohrab Mammadov, explained, “We at World Medicine have achieved progress in Turkey, where we are active, since 2011. We were already exporting to 26 countries in 2017 and increased the number of countries we export to 35 in 2020. Our success story, which started in 2016 when we were awarded ninth prize in the field of ‘Exports of Pharmaceutical Products’, continued with the award of the prize for ‘Fastest Rising Company in Exports’ in 2017 and third prize for ‘Exports of Pharmaceutical Products’ in 2018. We went on to receive the third prize for Export Stars in 2018 and were ranked second by İKMİB in the category of ‘Export Stars – Pharmaceuticals Exports’ following our successful export performance in the previous year. World Medicine was ranked fifth in the sector this year with its entry into the ISO 500 list, leaving behind several pharmaceuticals and pharmaceutics companies which had been in this list in the previous years. We have achieved our target of being at the top. The important step now is to ensure our place at the top is permanent. I would like to thank everyone who has contributed to this success.”
